The University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica is organizing the Optometry Summer Academy 2017 that will run from 2nd July to 12th July 2017, open to practitioners (optometry students and optometrists) who wish to learn techniques that they can perform in their own practice environments.
The advanced techniques will be taught in seminars and workshops with plenty of hands–on opportunities. The students about to start their final year of study may benefit from certain classes and wish to participate in order to gain additional experience.

It will take place in Tkon (Island of Pašman). The island of Pašman is a second large island (63 square km) in Zadar archipelago. District of Tkon is recognized by its beautiful nature, clear blue sea, sand beach and rich heritage and history.
The easiest way to come to Tkon is:
– If you’re coming with a car from Zagreb, the best solution is travelling to Zadar or Biograd and then take a ferry to Preko (Gaženica-Preko) or Tkon (Biograd-Tkon).
– If you’re coming with an airplane, you have airports in Zemunik (near Zadar) and Trogir (near Split) and then you can take a bus to the ferry port in Biograd (Biograd-Tkon)

The delegates attending can use accomodation in Tkon at reduced price.

Enrolment fees include administrative fees, lectures, lecture-related documents, one social event, accomodation in double room, breakfast and lunch

Enrolment fees include administrative fees, lectures, lecture-related documents, one social event, lunch

The number of attendants is limited to 35 in order to optimise the pedagogical contact and exchanges between participants and lecturers.
This will be a competitive application process. All places at the Optometry Summer Academy will be distributed on the „first-come, first-served“ basis which is why the participants are requested to register well in advance.
