Gaining knowledge of technical systems' effectiveness and integral logistics support for technical systems.
Basic concepts. Integrated logistics support. Effectiveness of complex technical systems. Life-cycle costs. Reliability and failure models. Repairable systems reliability. Operating availability (readiness). Maintenance suitability. Maintenance models. Normisation and management of spare part supplies. Maintenance management.
General: practical application of theoretical knowledge of technical system effectiveness in relation to reliability and in the process of logistic support to complex systems. Specific: application of logistics engineering to the technical system maintenance processes.
After passing the exam, the students will be able to: 1. Define effectiveness' requirements in development and equipping with technical resources. 2. Identify the parameters of reliability and maintainability of technical resources. 3. Solve problems of managing system of exploitation of technical resources. 4. Establish cooperation with designers, manufacturers, users and maintainers in the development, production and equipping with technical resources adapted to exploitation. 5. Apply knowledge on effectiveness in the real system and exploitation processes for which he is responsible. 6. Help in the development of the information system with the aim of monitoring exploitation history, and with the purpose of creating a database on maintenance. 7. Monitor exploitation costs and manage them throughout the life cycle of technical resources. 8. Define requirements and cooperate in the development of standards of reliable and maintainable technical resources. The aforementioned learning outcomes contribute to the learning outcomes of the study programme: - Explain the properties and functions of a logistics system. - Analyse relevant management indicators in the logistics system. - Apply computer support in resolving logistics issues.
