Course objective:

Objective is to learn methods and techniques of electronic commerce.

Course contents:

Introduction to electronic commerce. Types of e-commerce. Advantages and disadvantages of e-commerce. Preconditions for introduction of e-commerce. Business models and their evaluation. Business processes. Problems E-commerce safety. Electronic payment systems. Digital signature. E-marketing. E-marketing and management of relations with clients. Support to decision making. E-markets. Electronic auctions. Commerce on the move. Mobile market. Electronic data exchange. E-government. Client privacy and protection of privacy. Privacy on the internet. Intellectual property. Electronic economy and information society.

Competences:

Acquisition of knowledge on methods and techniques used in electronic commerce. Introduction to specific tools used in some types of e-commerce.

Learning outcomes:

Having passed the exam, the student will be able to 1) Support the introduction of electronic commerce with the purpose of improving the business of the organization. 2) Evaluate the characteristics of various business models. 3) Create a simple business process describing a segment of the organization operations. 4) Manage client relations using e-marketing. 5) Select appropriate tools used in individual types of e-commerce. 6) Organize electronic data exchange for the more efficient operation of participants in business.
