Course Objective: Gaining basic knowledge of the Internet network. |

Course Contents: Internet – a network of all networks. Modem connection. Local area network (LAN) connection. Internet Service Provider (ISP). Point of Presence (POP). Network Access Points (NAP). Internet backbone. Routers. Internet protocol groups (TCP/IP), Addressing. IP address structure. Domains – Uniform resource locator (URL). Domain Name Server (DNS). NAT and DHCP. Web-mail-ftp servers. Standard of data exchange between client and server: Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). |
