1The International summer school “Management in Crisis Situations” – Sarajevo, from 15 to 21 July 2016.

The First International Summer School of Management in Crisis Situations is a result of many years of excellent cooperation of two higher education institutions, that will provide lectures by experts from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Serbia, and it will be organized in six modules dedicated to the concepts of crises and disasters. The competences acquired by the attendants who complete the program of the International Summer School – Management in Crisis Situations include planning and performing of preventive measures for mitigating and preventing the consequences of the crises and provision of professional assistance and coordination of expert teams and equipment after crisis or disaster. The Summer school in Sarajevo will be held from 15 to 21 July 2016.

 

Summer School Program

4The Summer School Program – Management in Crisis Situations consists of six (6) mandatory syllabuses / modules (I. Fundamentals of security, II. Crisis situations, III. Management in crisis situations, IV. Crisis communication, V. Alpinism, GIS and first aid, VI. Command organization), out of which two (2) courses / modules (V and VI) are realised through practical classes.

The International Summer School program – Management in Crisis Situations will be held at the Faculty of Criminology and Security Study Programs of the University of Sarajevo through theoretical workshops, whereas practical exercises will be organised on Bjelašnici, the village of Sinanovići. The Summer school program will be performed in Croatian, Bosnian and Serbian languages.

In case of nice weather on Bjelašnica, as part of practical exercises, sleeping in a camp will be organised for two nights.

Enrolment conditions

2The condition for the enrolment in the International Summer School – Management in Crisis Situations is a completed four-year secondary school, and the application for enrolment in the program can be submitted also by students or those who graduated from a study program (1st, 2nd and 3rd cycle of study program) or even students who are currently attending the study program of the first, second or third cycle of studying social, technical, humanities or natural sciences.

 

 

Certificate

According to the number of class-hours planned by the program (80 hours) the attendants will receive a Certificate of the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica with 3 ECTS credits.
