About us

The Student Union of the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica is a student representative body that protects the interests of students, participates in the decision-making in the bodies of the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica and represents students in the higher education system. The Students’ Union points to the irregularities and injustice, speaks up for the realization of the student rights, helps students in solving other important issues, encourages extracurricular activities of the students and takes care about the quality of the students’ lives.

It is co-funded by the University of Applied Sciences. The budget available to the Student Union is intended for the costs of student projects, student travelling, work of student associations, etc.

ELECTIONS FOR THE STUDENT UNION

Every student of the University of Applied Sciences has the right to elect and to be elected. The elections are usually held in March.

A representative and a deputy are elected from each year of every study programme. The full-time and part-time students of single study programmes are elected separately. The mandate lasts for two (2) years.
