Dear members of the Economic Council,

e have informed you about the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica, about how we started and what we have accomplished, where we are now, and how we see our future, so that you could help us in achieving our goals.
Your opinions will be very important to us and for the new strategy of the University that we have been developing for the period from 2015 to 2020. Without economy, science and without the cooperating institutions our students will fail to be competitive on the labour market. In my opinion the time has passed when we could create staff for the job market. We have no more right to such errors. We have to create personnel who are required by our economy and who have the necessary knowledge and competences.
This Council is a strategic advisory body of the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica, founded in order to use its knowledge and influence of its members in their respective communities to positively affect the development of the University of Applied Sciences VG and its curricula. The things expected by the University from this advisory body are listed in the tasks of the Economic Council that are also included in the Rules of Procedure of the Economic Council of the University of Applied Sciences Velika Gorica.
