Course Objective: Gaining knowledge of information systems protection.

Course Contents: The definition of information system (IS) security. Organisational, physical and technical security measures. Protection policy. Attack. Counter-measures. Survival. Operating system parts and consequences of an attack on them. Nature of protection by layers and its implementation. Network protection. Protection of travelling information. Authentication and identification. Communication monitoring. Legal regulations on information system protection.

General and Specific Competencies (Knowledge and Skills): Familiarity with the manner and procedures of protecting computers and computer processes from an attack. Competence for designing a hub configuration that will ensure the provision of services during the attack. Ensuring a secure and reliable network communication. Familiarity with the procedures of protecting information.
